Let someone know before you go
Leave a written record of your trip plans with a reliable person so that person can notify the appropriate authorities without delay if you fail to return when expected.
Let someone know before you go. Check-in when you return.
The information you share about your trip plan should include:
Names, addresses and phone numbers of all members of your party.
Details of your planned trip, departure date and time, estimated place and time of arrival.
The location, make and registration of any vehicle/s you are using.
The reliable person should be a friend, a relative at home or a member of your lodge. In addition, if an Intentions Book is provided where you start your trip, please use it – even on the shortest trips.
